Beach path of the senses

Above the ruins of the medieval Beller church begins the entrance to the Strandpfad der Sinne (Beach Trail of the Senses). First you reach a small circular path where rocks from quarries and sand pits are arranged to form a section of beach as it might have looked about 30 million years ago. A barefoot path and the herbs planted between the stones make it possible to experience the history of the earth with all the senses.
The path continues along farm and field paths. On the further stations of the beach path one learns among other things much worth knowing about the geology and plant world and about the connection of geology and wine cultivation. In between, you can always enjoy the beautiful view of the Rhine-Hessian landscape, before the path leads back down to the Beller church.

Afterwards, it is recommended to visit the ruins of the Beller Kirche and to fortify yourself at the wine stand (open on weekends from May to October) with small snacks and Rheinhessen wine.
