Whether you are a hotel guest or not, the Kaisergarten wine hotel offers vineyard tours for anyone interested in wine. The vineyard tour through the hills of Rheinhessen lasts around 2.5 hours and takes you through the unique wine landscapes of Alzey and the surrounding area.

Before you see the best of Rheinhessen, there is a glass of sparkling wine at the start. There are several stops in the vineyards with delicious wines, "Weck, Worscht & Woi" and "Omas Ribbelkuche". Along the way, you will have the opportunity to get to know and love the district.

The tour includes the guided and moderated wine tour as described above, including 6 wine tastings with a snack in the open air and a glass of sparkling wine.

Climb aboard our modern and comfortable covered wagon, pulled by a tractor, and discover the wine landscape around Alzey from a completely new perspective. Savour the exquisite wines directly from the Hahn winery - and let yourself be enchanted by the special atmosphere.

Whether a cosy wine tasting, an informative excursion or a culinary experience - the trip can be arranged entirely according to your wishes. We are happy to coordinate the duration, programme, wine selection and various food options with you personally.

Covered wagon rides are an alternative or supplement to the vineyard tour, whatever the weather. The journey through the Dautenheim vineyards and the district takes about one and a half hours. You will learn all about the state of the vegetation, the surroundings, vineyards and grape varieties, soil differences, cultivation methods and details from Dautenheim's historically well-researched local history.

Per person 12,- €, with a number of participants of less than 10 persons we charge a flat rate of 120,- €.

You are also welcome to book drinks and a snack.

2-3 hours in a covered wagon up the Wißberg, the second highest elevation in Rheinhessen, with a stopover at the famous Kreuzkapelle (visit on request).

After a sparkling welcome drink, you set off from the winery or your preferred pick-up point with chilled drinks (water, grape juice, 2 wines of your choice).

The tour takes you through the streets and the old town centre of Gau-Bickelheim up the Kreuzweg to the Wißberg plateau (golf course with hotel).
There you get off the covered wagons and enjoy the fantastic view

• over the hilly Rhine-Hessian countryside
• of the small, idyllic Rhine-Hessian villages
• and the Donnersberg, the "Binger Loch" and the Odenwald forest

• Wine tasting (6 wines) at beautiful resting places

Experience the beauty of Rheinhessen with our award-winning wines on a sociable vineyard tour! On this tour, we drive you through the vineyards of Lonsheim, with a view over the whole of Rheinhessen, a highlight in Rhineland-Palatinate that is well worth seeing.

The vineyard tour - also known as the Funzelfahrt - takes place in a covered trailer pulled by a tractor. Our latest trailer offers space for up to 18 people - ideal for large groups such as families and clubs.

The "covered wagon ride" lasts around 2 hours. During the journey, you can sample four different types of wine from the Volker Barth vineyard. We also serve you water and a tasty winegrower's snack.
