Since May 29, 2019, the Alzeyer Land and Rheinhessische Schweiz vacation region has been one of
11 model regions for barrier-free tourism in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The
11 model regions won the "Travel for All" competition organized by the
Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture
Rhineland-Palatinate and won.
In the 2014-2020 funding period the model regions have access to funding from the European Regional Development Fund Regional Development Fund (ERDF) are available to the model regions.
Public institutions and commercial tourism tourism businesses in the region are supported with the help of the funding, create barrier-free and high-quality vacation offers. The barrier-free offers enable guests with a disability a carefree vacation in our region. region. And they offer more comfort for families with children, older people and people with disabilities.

This section provides an overview of offers in our vacation region that are certified as "Travel for All".
Guided tours are an exception. Here the tour guides adapt flexibly to the different needs of their participants.

Many vacation guests with a disability require detailed information on the accessibility and usability of the offers for their personal requirements. Statements such as "Our hotel room is wheelchair accessible" are not meaningful enough for the guest.
The "Travel for All" labeling system provides our vacation guests with detailed, verified and reliable information for their travel decisions.
